The neighbourhood of Girouette is a residential area east of Willemstad. This area consists of
freestanding, large and luxury homes only and is one of the most upgraded areas in Curaçao.
No through traffic, so very quiet and safe.
It is about 20 minutes from the airport, so no planes coming over at all.

|
But, the main attractions of Curaçao are close by: the Sea Aquarium, the historical city centre of Willemstad (Unesco World Heritage Site)
with its many shops, colourful streets, terraces and 'floating market'.
And don't forget to visit the Ostrich Farm: the kids will love it!

For a lovely lunch or dinner you will always find a restaurant of your choice and budget.
The cuisine varies from Caribbean to French and Asian. You should try the famous 'Rijsttafel' in one of
the original Indonesian restaurants! And for the kids… McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut are available too!
Many famous beaches
are nearby: Jan Thiel, Barbara Beach, Caracasbaai and the Spanish Waters ('Spaanse Water') are within a few
minutes reach. And if you want to go to the pastoral part of Curaçao you can use your rental car to go west.
By car you will reach the beaches in the west within a short drive, such as Porto Mari, Bonbini Beach
('Cas Abao') or Daaibooibaai. For beach lovers, divers and snorkellers Curacao is 'the place to be'.
Whatever you are looking for, Girouette will always point out as a centrally located base for all your holiday
plans. But also for daily shopping as there is a number of large and well equipped supermarkets close by
(which provide lots of European and American products; you will be surprised by the relatively low cost of
living, especially when you compare it with other Caribbean islands). And with the large kitchen in your holiday
home, you can always prepare the meals you like if you prefer to have your dinner at home.
More information about Curacao can be found at:
Curaçao Travel Guide.
The villa is situated on a walled and gated lot of about 930 sq. metres (about 10.000 sq. feet) which gives you
a lot of privacy. The built area surfaces about 350 sq. meters (about 4000 sq feet) and therefore is very
spacious.
The villa has two levels; on the upper level it has 4 spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms; a 5th bedroom
is on the ground level. A 3rd bathroom is at the pool area. The villa can accommodate 8-10 people comfortably.
The name of the villa ‘Kas di Bula’ does not originate from the Papiamentu language (which is the local
language of the Dutch Antillean Islands and Aruba) but from Fijian, where the word ‘Bula’ means something like
‘hello’, ‘a very welcome’ or ‘nice seeing you’. After many of our Pacific travels we were proud to give this
name to our Caribbean home where ‘Bula’ and ‘Bon Bini’ meet each other in our villa.
